"Ooooo, but it's cold!"

Lake Superior

It feels like we've been in Ontario about two thirds of forever. It is a big province. We really haven't been doing much but driving since we left Lake Kukagami.

We really do have a magnificent country! Up to now, Janet and I have briefly touched upon nine of the ten provinces, and can't think of one of them which wasn't facinating.

The road around the lakes is essentially two lane, and 90 klicks, with lots of passing lanes, so not tough to drive. Beautiful scenery, though I'm just about full up with rocks and trees, even though they are colorful and lovely. (Jan just opened a cupboard, and some stuff fell on her foot. She suggested that I hit rough roads today. Yep! blame the Ontario government. I take no responsibility!)

The cost of gas is pretty attrocious up here. We paid $1.129 a litre at one place. I assume that it's trucking costs that prevail.

In to Manitoba tomorrow, so it will feel like we really are getting towards home. I think we both are looking forward to that.
