August 21st
We rode from Sault-Ste-Marie to Orillia where we met up with Greg’s lifelong friend Dave Bishop and his family, his wife Liz and his daughter Danielle and the two dogs. A good time was had recounting our journeys and Dave had also been to the Yukon and Alaska before so the stories were fast and furious. It was clear that these guys had a long history together as lasting were many stories of their youth and growing up together.
When dinner time came around, I finally got to have my Chinese dinner that I had been longing for since I left Ottawa. It was probably perfectly ordinary chinese fare, but after the long wait it tasted like a million dollars. After a few more tall tales, Greg and I headed off to our quarters which was a tent trailer parked in their front yard where we slept like rocks.
How's that for short and sweet?
