Today was a day for discovering Old Quebec in all its beauty. After a short ten minute ferry ride, the magic of this great, historical city became ours to explore. Breath-taking scenes in a kaleidoscopic panorama assaulted our senses. Le Chateau Frontenac took centrestage as we approached from the St. Lawrence River. Strolling down the narrow cobblestone streets & boardwalk, checking out the art & clothing shops, photographing some of the most artistically gorgeous architecture of the buildings - a veritable feast of cultural activity abounded all around. We just happened to catch the breath-stopping antics of fighter jets performing their feats of courage & squeal-inspiring synchronized daring in the sky above us, leaving in their wake colorful plumes of red, white & blue smoke. The piece de resistance today was to be found at Ashton's Restaurant - the most marvellous poutine & roast beef sandwiches smothered in fried onions & peppers! Ah!!! Heavenly! What an absolutely perfect way to spend a day! Thanks, Art & Sandy, for making the day even more memorable by sharing it with us!
