First lesson learned: Don't buy the London Pass in advance from the Eurorail company. I purchased 2-day London Passes before we left. They pre-paid our entry fees into MANY sites and activities in London at a discount, but they still were not cheap. As a result, we've spent the last two days racing around London and out to the zoo, and down to Hampton Court.... something I swore I wouldn't do, and won't do again. There is so much to see we could spend another week here easily, but when you try to cram it all in, it's hard to get the most out of anything. That said, we did have a great time at the zoo and I think it helped calm the kids. Hampton Court was also amazing. It's the 500 year anniversary of the reign of Henry VIII so they had people dressed up in the garb of that era re-enacting scenes from his lifetime all about the castle grounds. The kids loved the hedge maze. We got caught in a breif but powerful microburst just after the Tower Bridge photo was taken. It was sunny just before and the downpour seemed to come out of nowhere. Luckily, we had rain ponchos and the kids found it hilarious.
