After leaving Chicago, we made a beeline for Canada and crossed at the Detroit/Windsor border crossing. This section of the journey was a trip down memory lane for Steve, who had lived in London a few years ago. We stopped in at Port Stanley on Lake Eerie where he had played many volleyball tournaments and had dinner at his favorite neighborhood restaurant “Angelo’s”. No surprises that it was pasta (and pretty damn good). We drove to Wasaga Beach in the Georgian Bay of Lake Huron and spent a relaxing day on the beach. Steve had a lot of stories to tell, although I am not sure how many of them were true. :)
