We had a smooth ride all the way in our Air Canada Boeing 767 jet. Flew at about 36,000 ft at an average of 683 mph. The temperature outside the jet was -65F. We flew about 4,375 miles today. Saw the northern lights over Churchill and we rode into the sunrise this morning at about 0130 our time, somewhere between Akureyri and Belfast. Arrived at Heathrow Airport as scheduled at 1050 hr. Met Allan and Betty from Hinton at the airport and chatted with them all the way to the hotel. Betty said that she dated a Dan Stene when she was in high school...have to talk with Ken when we get home. The world really is a small place after all.
Walked around downtown London after we registered in the hotel. Saw Kensington Palace where Princess Diana lived and Royal Albert Hall.
2000 hr and we're very tired after the long trip. Didn't sleep much and we've been up now for almost 36 hours straight.
