We've seen The Mousetrap, Agatha Christie's play that has been running since 1955. It was cute but a little musty after all these years. We also went to The 39 Steps, a play based on the same novel as Alfred Hitchcock's movie. Unlike the latter, it was hilarious. We took a tour inside the state rooms of Buckingham Palace, which I hadn't done before. We got in on the last day. The Queen came home from Scotland yesterday, so the summer opening hours at the palace are over. Huge grand rooms dripping with art. I hope she has cozier ones to actually live in. (I'm sure she does.) Missed the changing of the guard, though. They only do it every other day now. So on the off days no guards???
Andy's connected with a producer who seems enthusiastic about raising money to make one of his scripts. So fingers crossed!
