The day started off badly. I had promised myself a nice breakfast before a fairly long train journey but was pretty disappointed when this only consisted of a continental offering - not a hint of french toast or eggs benedict. grump.
Still i guess at least it was healthy and probably balanced out yesterday's pig out.
The train to Montreal was about 5 and a half hours and to be honest, most of that was spent sleeping (jet lag again!) I hink mostly i was relieved that I didnt have to endure another bumpy plane trip after the traumas of the other day. For the parts of the journey i was awake, it was quite pretty scenery - the leaves had started to change so some of the autumnal colours were stunning.
On arrival into Montreal it was a bit confusing to be submerged back into French again and the train station was very confusing. Or perhaps it was just me, as I then ended up getting lost on the way to the hotel (only a few blocks from the station) and then also got lost in the hotel! Although it was very dark and there were no signs anywhere! The hotel was very nice though although I am still wondering why on earth anyone would require oxygen, which was on sale in the room's mini bar...
