The first hostel that we have stayed in was called Barranco Backpacker's Inn, and lets just say, it's not the Ritz. Chris was horrified when he saw it, and Lisa couldn't stop laughing. It isn't too bad though, it's clean and they issue toilet roll, that's the main thing. As you can see our basic standards have reduced.
Lima, apart from being a little more dangerous, it is very much like any other capital city. With the exception that it has a Pyramid in the south where they're was the sacrificial killing of women and under their cathdrals they have buried and dug up the dead to see how many people were there. We went down and saw the bones which was really a bit weird.
Onto the food, it's normal, we ate ceviche which is their national dish, raw white fish marinated in lime and chilli, it was delicious, a bit like sashimi, although we did also order ravioli just in case it was awful. A part from that we have had a number of savory fillings in sweet pastry which is a bit strange.
