Because our campsite didn’t even come close meeting our expectation, we decided to find a new one.
After a beautiful drive down the western coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, we found an attractive “caravan park”. This one as promised has a large HOT mineral pool with a waterfall. AJ and I both took full advantage of the luxury and had a good long soak.
It was wonderful to be done our travels for the day by 1:00 pm and be able to get caught up with travel blog stuff and then just kick back.

Well one final driving day. Destination Auckland. We need to return the Spaceship tomorrow. As we are in no hurry to get anywhere we took the road less traveled along the coast heading west to the city. It is with mixed emotions that we could see the Auckland skyline as we rounded the bend.
Our last camp area is a “caravan park” just north over the bridge from Auckland, where we are right on the water and very close to shops and restaurants. We are treating ourselves to a night out with food and drink (the fridge was bare).
