We left Cousin Dick and Sherry's home in Ann Arbor, MI. After a wonderful visit and headed north to Flint, MI toward Canada for our next stop at Sue & David's home in Guelph, Ontario Canada. At the Immigration check point, the Officer asked the normal questions about liquor, guns etc., then threw us a curve. He asked where we were going, and Don said Canada. His next question was where we were going and the answer from Cathy was Ontario. We got the vibes by the next statement to Cathy from the Officer advising her that Ontario, Canada was larger than Texas. Bobbie was in the back seat spelling Guelph out loud but it was not registering with either Cathy or I. Well duh--we finally got his drift and gave the name of the city, Guelph and were allowed entry. All of us were surprised we didn't have to do a secondary inspection. Geez, what trick questions!!! We pulled into a very small town and found a restaurant, with few customers in it and also noted a lack of traffic on the highway. I saw a name of the town, Sathroy, which is the home of Glendale RV, who makes our Titanium 5th wheel and we had planned to visit the plant when in Ontario. I asked a couple close to us for directions, which they gave with a smile, then dropped the bomb on us, it happened to be Canadian Thanksgiving and the plant was closed. Bummer!! Onto Sue & David's nice home and we went to a local Pub for Thanksgiving dinner of the local favorite, Fish & Chips as they had celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday prior to our arrival, as we were not exactly sure when we would be arriving. The next morning is was up early for a tour of Niagara Falls (see next entry and pictures)
