Well, I survived the first flight OK. As usual I could not sleep but by watching 5 films, including both versions of "The taking of Pelham 123" the flight went quick enough.
The 13 hour transit has also gone quickly. After 6 hours sleep in my hotel, I stoped off for some Laksa and made use of the free internet access and free movies available in the terminal. Since then I have been looking around the shops and just picked up a pair of battery operated hair clippers so I will look the part on my trip !
In 90 minutes I board the flight to Christchurch, so the next memo will be from New Zealand.
