Hi All,
Well arrived in Phuket on Friday...very hot, but apparently according to some locals, it should be cooling down from November...by how much...who knows!!!
It is way more expensive here than Bangkok...meals etc. Bartering with these guys my god...talk about tight asses hahahaha. Hired a cabby today cost was 1000Baht approximately $35 Australian for 5 hours, took me around the South of the Island and the West and also to Phuket Town...really not much in Phuket town....the place to go is Patong...everything seems to happen there...it is renowned for its nightlife and so busy!!
Tomorrow I am off to Phi Phi Island (pronounced pee pee)...would you believe there is a Poo Island...will post a piccie when I have shrunk them. Tomorrow night I am also off to see the Fantasea which is like a caberet festival. Looks awesome and so colourful.
Monday there is a Festival happening all over Thailand where they light up lanterns and place them in the water...so I gotta be there for that one.
Anyway off now...to see if I can get some bargains.
