Today we are heading south from San Antonio to Corpus Christi and our home for the next two months. It should be a short drive as we head through part of the Rio Grande Valley. It should be a lot more green that the past few days as we head down on I-37 to Corpus Christi.
Yesterday we walked around the River Walk in San Antonio and had an early dinner at the Casa Rio. The Casa Rio is the oldest restaurant on the River Walk. It has been serving meals there since 1946. It is always fun to enjoy a meal sitting right on the water as the water taxis cruise by loaded with passengers. Being Halloween yesterday the drivers were all in costume with all of the Notre Dame and Washington Cougar fans in their team colors, it made for a very colorful and loud dinner.
We are heading south soon after we stop by to refuel. Should be interesting to find out just how much the wind helped us out on the way down to San Antonio. Cyn is getting excited to get to her parking spot and be able to relax for two months. She has been nursing a very sore back for the past week so she is looking forward to resting for a few days and getting better.
Yesterday our traveling family of cats really enjoyed the parking area here at Top of the Hill RV park. They were treated to a great view full of lots of butterflies, birds and the like. They were zipping from window to window to check things out.
