Today Pushkar is swelling as the village people gather around he lake for full moon tonight. I was sitting on the edge of the lake eating lunch and watching the riot of colour bobbing up and down as they dipped in the lake for prayers. The streets are so crowded as you will see from the photos. The one saving grace is that you do not have to share the narrow streets with the cows like you do in other Rajasthan cities.
White radish vegetables are in season and the village people are buying them by the basket full.
Tonight for full moon we send the oil lamps out onto the sacred lake with our prayers. Really looking forward to it. Don't think I will get to sleep until the early morning due to the racket they make over the microphones.
