Living Our Dream travel blog

Ida turned out to be a big wuss but it gave us a nice visit at Susy and David's. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and especially Susy's cooking.

About mid-morning we looked at the weather undergound and decided to drive back to PCB because we have to get up early and go to Lynn Haven tomorrow for diabetes school. Actually the weather we drove through on the way up to PDL yesterday was the worst weather we saw out of the storm and that wasn't enough to keep the windshield wipers on all the way. By the way, Doug's sugar numbers are normal for the first time in years. In fact, he is having to watch out for it going too low.

Fillmore is certainly glad to be home. He is grateful to David for allowing him into the utility room. That was a first for any animal. But he is sleeping like a dog since he got home. We wonder if he slept last night in the strange quarters.

The oncologist's office called with the results of Doug's PSA, (finally,) It was up some 10 points from the previous month but not as high as when we came back to PCB. They tell us that the number is not as important as the direction and velocity of the number, so we don't know what to think. We still want to get back on the road.

JoAnn will go to her Weight Watchers meeting tomorrow. She is really thrilled about it and what it is doing for her. We are eating a lot of the WW frozen dinners which are not only good but also inexpensive. Doug has not released any weight and that could be due to the steroid he is on, but JoAnn has released pounds and inches. Ellie sure set us a good example.
