I know it’s been awhile since the last post but the picture’s tell the story…….I’ve been busier then a cat covering up crap in a wind storm. The coach had that vinyl film on the lower front cap and it was looking less than pretty wonderful…..and I just couldn’t take it any longer so I morphed back into RV MacGyver. Ever since we bought this coach I have been flirting with the idea of doing the Full Monty bed liner like I had done on the Dough-Boy…….But Lady Jane, talked me out of it…..something to the affect…NO Don’t Do It if you Know What’s Good For You……Yes Dear…. I Understand Completely.

So….I settled for just the bottom third of the front end and after it was all done I’m glad I listened to her This Time. I spent a few day’s doing the job, since I’m in no hurry anymore and finally had it ready to spray yesterday. It took me about an hour and a half to spray it with waiting a little while between coats, three quarts all together. I had called Tiffin and got the paint number for the Bright Platinum gray color but it didn’t quite match up…..but then again I didn’t think it would given the age of the paint and this new paint won’t have clear coat on it either. None the less I’m, We, are pleased with the outcome.

Wednesday we went to do a little site seeing with friends Bill And Ann Swanson in down town Ft Myers the historic district, that’s where the picture’s of the trees came from. The one that has the construction fence around it is over a hundred and fifty years old. The one besides it is a Banyan tree and there are both in front of the old court house. As we were going down to Centennial Park by the river we had a flat tire on the van and we couldn’t get the spare tire down from under the van since it has been up under there since the van was new in 1996. We Didn’t have any tools to work with, so we ended up calling AAA and it was about two hours before they got there and fixed the flat.

After we got back on the road we drove down to Bonita Springs and had dinner at Sweet Tomatoes and then headed back home. Bill went and had new tires put on the front of the van since the one that went flat was no good and he couldn’t remember how old they were anyway. I just talked to Bill and he said Ann has the flu now so we’re hoping she gets to feeling better soon and that none of us get it. That’s going to do it for now….I’m starting to conger up my next RV MacGyver project…..this one could turn out to be a real stinker. Until then my friends…Stay Safe and Mind Your Manners…..Gummy…..OUT
