Hi Everyone, So sorry about being so slack at writing over the past few weeks, I have been so busy doing things :) Well a few weekends ago on a lazy sunday morning a group of us decided to take off and explore the land a little further than Mt Isa, so off we headed in the 4WD's (you cant get far without them around here!) to Camooweal. ... Camooweal is actually considered to be a remote suburb of Mt Isa, so along what is considered the longest main road in the world, The Barklay Highway. ... Finally after about an hour and a half trip we arrived in Camooweal, it was about lunch time by this stage, so had to stop at the roadhouse for some lunch (not really anywhere else to stop in Camooweal) and suprisingly had quite a nice lunch of a ham roll. ...

TODAYS JOURNEY TOOK US FROM JULIA CREEK THROUGH CLONCURRY AND MT ISA AND ALMOST TO THE BORDER. WE STARTED TO GET USED TO THE NEW SCENERY UNTILL WE STARTED TO COME CLOSE TO ISA WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN WE WERE DRIVING THROUGH HILLS AND STARTED TO SEE WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR- THE RED GROUND- AT THE END OF TODAYS DRIVING WE HAVE REACHED CAMOOWEAL, JUST A HOP, SKIP AND A JUMP FROM THE BORDER TO THE NORTHERN TERRITORY. ...
