May 12, 2008 - 12th May, Cloncurry/Mt Isa

No luck there, they wouldn't let us plug the printer into our laptop and after a few unsuccessful attempts to find the email on the library computers, we decided to leave it and try in Cloncurry. ... Made the decision that discretion was the better part of valour, so headed south to Cloncurry on the bitumen rather than to Burketown on an unknown dirt track. ... Jeff The 73 mile journey to Cloncurry along the Barkly Highway, through hills prospected by miners of yesteryear, was one of the nicest of the roads we have traveled. ...
