Its been absolutely dead at work over the past couple of week but picked up towards the end of last week. I met up with Ellen from back home last weekend and we decided to go down to Surfers Paradise for a couple of days. ... By the time we got to Surfers it was dark and we were exhausted. The hostel was perfect 5 min walk to town and beach and even offered a pick up limo service from the bus garage! We checked in and headed out for a cheap pizza/pasta dinner, the food was lovely and really cheap just what we needed after a day at the zoo! Surfers Paradise is referred to as a mini Miami, luxury high rise apartments/offices, loads of shops, even more young people and an amazing beach! The next day we decided to spend on the beach, we met up with Sean (who had business plans for the next 2 nights) and agreed to meet up in Byron Bay for drinks a few days later. ... We spent the day lazing on the beach, jumping the big waves and making the most of the glorious weather.By the time we got to Surfers it was dark and we were exhausted.
