We promised Natahniel (3Yrs) a trip on a train and a bus and a tram and there is no better place to fulfil such a promise as Melbourne, which has all three in abundance!. ... Our stay in Melbourne also featured an trip up to Eureka Skydeck, 975ft above the city concrete. ... We visited the Old Melbourne Gaol for a macabre look at our recent past and finished the day with a lavish banquet in Chinatown eating - among other things fried pork dumplings which the kids (and Dad) devoured. ...

So after three big flights (12 in total over the whole trip!) we are back to Victoria safe and sound- you werent kidding when you said it was freezing!!! We are up early on Monday and we borrow a vacuum cleaner from the Holiday Park and continued cleaning the van until it was spotless. We had a lazy afternoon and an early night (the Melbourne tsetse fly has got me again and I am back in my habit of falling asleep on the lounge)! It is Ashleigh and Richards first wedding anniversary today. ... First impressions of Melbourne are that it is bloody freezing cold!! As usuall nick and i didn't book a hostel to stay in so at 5am in the morning we were wandering around the city looking for somewhere to catch up on some sleep. ...
