We are near the end of our trip now but before we leave Australia I get to fulfill one of my dreams of attending all four tennis grand slams before I die!! Jan 4, 2006 - Vic: Lucky escape to the Mornington Peninsula
The ferry from Queenscliff takes about 40 minutes and while the blokes prowl around taking photos, Ang and I kip in the Rig. We pull out at Sorrento and head to Portsea camping ground where we manage to secure a campsite for one night. ... Dec 14, 2005 - Vic: Down to Portsea, Darling!
Stu has been clever enough to borrow a friend's holiday house in Portsea, so we head down the Mornington Peninsula to chill out for a couple of days. ... The house is a great place right on the border of The Mornington Peninsula National Park, near Portsea Back Beach and is just perfect. ... Portsea itself is pretty small, but has amaaazing houses with what looks like views to die for. ... Portsea also boasts a fabulous pub that looks over the bay beach - a big pub with a fine expanse of lawn leading to it. ... In the afternoon we check out the back beaches of Sorrento and Portsea, but the waves are pretty messy and wild, and no-one is out there braving them. ...
