We arrived in Melbourne a week ago now (on the 13th of Feb) and it is a really cool city. ... more on that to follow, it was amazing! Melbourne itself has a tonne of stuff to see and do and it is obvious why the people from Melbourne and Sydney argue so much over which city is better. ... Sydney certainly wins when it comes to famous sights, however Melbourne would probably come out on top when it comes to a liveable city, which is saying something because we could live in Sydney quite happily. ... Melbourne has enough coffee shops to keep you going a lifetime, and the good news. ... The Melbourne Cricket Ground (to give it it's Sunday name) is a 100,000 seater stadium and on the day we visited we got to see Queensland play New South Wales (Mhairi loved that)! I'm not sure who won (nor do I really care) but the experience was good even if the stadium was virtually empty. ...

Forgot one really great India "incredible"; The clapping lady boys - several very nice looking "girls" got on the train and fronted each local passenger, clapping twice loudly in their face, eyeballing them in a very aggressive manner and demanding money. We're now in Mildura, taking 2 1/2 days to do 1,800kms. ... It's stinking hot, even worse than India!
