Today we were hoping to find a tour into the jungle as we heard that it is possible to go into the jungle from Santa Cruz. ... Santa Cruz is fairly close to the Pantanal and the jungle in the Amazonas. ... We ended up going to two different travel agencies - one was run by a Dutch woman living in Santa Cruz (why?) and the other one by a local man who had the most square jaw we have ever seen. ... It turned out that it’s not as popular for people to try to get into the jungle via Santa Cruz as we expected. ... Unfortunately, the train was fully booked! (We were quite surprised as buying our tickets four hours before departure should be considered advance planning in south America, but we guess there must be some backlog of travelers that needed to leave after getting stuck in Santa Cruz for the weekend). ...

In Copacabana angekommen wurden wir gleich von Hostel-Besitzern bestuermt und jeder hatte das bessere Angebot. ... Danach ging es dann nochmal eine halbe Stunde weiter zum Boot, welches uns wieder nach Copacabana brachte. ... Den ersten Tag den wir am Lago Titicaca, genauer gesagt in Copacabana, verbracht haben verlief ziemlich unspektakulaer da Ines mit einer Nasennebenhoehlenentzuendung im Bett lag bzw. ... ---------------------------------------------- Our first day at Lago Titicaca, more precisely in Copacabana, was pretty low key and I spent it mostly alone as Ines lay in bed with a bad cold and even had to go to a hospital. ... We had enquired about that in La Paz and were told by a separate source that it would be more pleasant to do the lessons in Sucre as the town is more beautiful and less manic. ... Marcus’ dad has kindly agree to pay for our lessons as our upcoming birthday presents - Many thanks! After securing our source of funding we did a bit more research into find the appropriate school and concluded that the Sucre branch of the Spanish school we have been enquiring in La Paz seemed to be the best option. ... Apparently, just outside Sucre, the world’s largest selection of dinosaurs footprints can be found. ... We took a tourist bus to the attraction, approximately 30 minutes ride (very slow bus) away from central Sucre. ...
