The day started with indoor luxury: fresh fruit, real orange juice, coffee, and a special blend of porridge cooked in a small pot. Eventually I had to say farewell and head for Owen Sound where I was going to meet my sister and hopefully see the finish of the triathlon. ... Although we started down highway 6 from Tobermory (since there was no other choice) our route visited Lion's Head and Wiarton before following the shore of Georgian Bay to Owen Sound. ... Leigh and I emerged from the trees around 6am. At 20,000 citizens, Owen Sound is a surprisingly big town (the name now rings a bell for the western boy). ... Owen Sound has offered us city-like amenities, a lovely campsite, and curiously, the strongest concentration of flies I have ever witnessed. ...
