The ride to Thunder Bay was another long day (172km) with a time change so many people got an early start. ... This meant the rest of the trip is downhill!! DAY 37 Today’s Plan; Trek east to Ontario. The plan also says we should go south from Kenora to Fort Frances then to Thunder Bay on highway 11, stopping at Rushing River or Nestor Falls Parks one night, then Fort Frances or Atikokan, the next. ... May 28, 2008 - Thunder Bay May 28 to June4
We arrived in Thunder Bay on the 28th, a ten hour drive we were trying to catch Ed ,Marion,Chuck and Echo. ... Ed mentioned that they had planned to stay at Chippewa Park for there stay at Thunder Bay so we headed out there,the road we needed to take had a one way bailey bridge and a train track in the middle with a return bailey bridge on the other side of the trian bridge we needed to cross that with our 5th wheel, there was a sign before you got on stating 15,000 lbs Max's this meant we were probably over weigh also there was only 6 inches of space on either side the tires. ... Today we visited the Thunder Bay Historical Museum, after dinner we gathered the the club house and played the train game with Chuck Echo,Ed and Marion a game we'd never played once we got the hang of it we had a lot of fun. ... Well it's the 3rd and we're still in Thunder Bay waiting for Ed's truck. ... June 4th We're still in Thunder Bay hopfully tomorrow we will on the road again every one need to start praying. ...

Into Thunder Bay now, and parked near the waterfront in a "horseshoe club" parking lot in between the main lakefront road, and the railway tracks. ... Steve & Sandra decide to try out the showers and find out why "the boys" should have had one instead; the warm water has obviously been turned off and it is freezing!!! Outside the showers, we compare notes and yes, it was cold in both men and women's! Now that we are awake, we are ready to depart for Thunder Bay. ... There is not much going on at this time of year, the road is slow going and the weather is not great, the closer we get to Thunder Bay. ... Thunder Bay We arrive in Thunder Bay on Saturday, having taken a little more time than expected to enjoy the sites on Superior's North Shore. ... And we thought we were adventurous!
