Today, we drove the East Coastal Route to the most eastern point of Prince Edward Island. We stopped at Shipwreck Point Lighthouse on the Gulf of St Lawrence, then on to East Point Lightstation where we received a certificate for driving from one tip of PEI to the other, seeing both lighthouses. ... East Point is where the Gulf of Lawrence, Northumberland Strait and the Atlantic Ocean meet, very turbulent waters. ...
