How does Missionary au Gratin sound to you? We only walked around downtown Suva last year and shopped a bit and freaked out over the clubs and eating utensils. ... Suva is a bustling city with some tall buildings like maybe 10 stories, a couple of nice department stores, and lots of jammed traffic in the immediate downtown area. ... BULA !! It turned out that we went out with about 40 people on a luxury bus coach (one with windows) for about 10 miles outside of Suva to a little Fijian village. ... I like Coconuts, 'cause you can crack them open and they smell like ladies lying in the sun. I started out the week in a less then spectacular place (Beachside Resort) in Nadi riding out the rain with the roosters. ... KAVA IN NAVALA - AND NOTHING LIKE SPANISH SPARKLING WINE ! We set off early this morning to go up the West Coast of the main island and into the highlands to the traditional Fijian village of Navala. Travelling up the Kings Road from Nadi (pronounced Nandi) we first headed for the “Sugar City” of Lautoka, surrounded by sugar cane and the largest refinery in the islands. ... After Ba it was back along the Kings road and eventually to Nadi – what a fascinating day and a real insight into Fiji past and present. ...
