Arrived at the Auckland airport and was Quizzed by officials - had to wash my trainers I had been on a farm. ... This didn't give the place a nice feel and I was keen to get out of Auckland as soon as. ... I had looked at a few options 1) Hiking trip but this would mean staying on for another two nights and the only trip was based in North Island 2)Kiwi Experience but I felt that I had done the drinking and touring thing for the last two months 3) Hire a camper van and go were I wanted! So the next day I had the enviable task of trying to get a camper van during Easter weekend with all the schools on holiday and Kiwis notorious campers! Well long story short the last place I tried had one left! It was meant to be?! After paying more than twice the rental price $43 per night I was off the next morning from Auckland airport. ...
