Auf dem Weg nach Invercargill stoppen wir immer wieder: an der Tautuku Bay, "wo der Wald das Meer berührt" - wie der offizielle Slogan für das Fjordland lautet -, am McLean-Wasserfall - Wasserfälle haben wir in Österreich ja auch aber keinen mit so einem beeindruckenden Regenwald rundum -, in dem kleinen Ort Waiwaka, wo es eine niedliche Holzkirche gibt und wo wir auch gerne geblieben wären, wenn wir uns nicht für heute das Ziel gesetzt hätten, den südlichsten Punkt der Südinsel zu erreichen. ... Rough trip but able to sleep for most of it. Flight to Invercargill was delayed 10min, luclily the only delay on our wholoe trip! Great to be back in Invercargill, a lovely 7C. ... That bloody man in the hostel caught me again today, sat having lunch and writting some postcards when he starts talking to me, made more sense today altho he still mumbles a bit, and he sits far away. Suns not out today its windy and damp, was gona just chill out by the lake today, might go and huddle up down there for a bit still just to escape that man! Urgh i just read gale warnings for Stewart Island, hope thats changes else the ferry may not go and i will be stuck in Invercargill! hostel woman told me about shrek sheep, winters a struggle etc stray bus took us straight to invercargill rather than stopping at Tuatapere encase there were problems with the weatehr for the ferry. ...
