We took a tour from Cusco down to Puno, which is on the shores of Lake Titicaca. ... I wish I could show you pictures but unfortunately you are not allowed to take photographs inside the church (however you can purchase a postcard!) Another highlight on the way to Puno was the small village of Racqui and it's Inca ruins which included a former Inca temple which hadn't been destroyed by the Spanish. ... We had a pleasant stay in Puno, although we didn't actually spend much time there as we spent the whole day on Lake Titicaca. ... Puno is nothing special and I think it's only really visited for the Lake. ... Jun 18, 2009 - Ultimate Bus journey
Well after 3 days in Cusco chilling out and white water rafting (which was quite eventfull. So on the day we went white water rafting whr farmers were protesting by putting massive boulders on the road to block traffic and as we rafted under the bridge they started ripping the bridge to bits and throwing pieces of wood down onto us! anyway we were fine but it was quite a scary experience! 2 days later whenwe left Cusco to drive to Puno, we had to go the 15 hr way instead of the 7hr way because it was totally impassible which ment the 15hr route we had to get over this bridge that the farmers had pretty much completely destroyed the 2 days before. ... there was 2 women up a hill side basically causing a massive landslide onto the road with boulders so the bus driver had to get out and plead with them to let us go past so we all had to get out the bus clear the road of rocks and debris and pass then we had to put it all back and we had to pay as well! its funny now! it so wasnt at the time then it still took us another 10hrs to get here as the driver got lost! So we did finnaly arrive in Puno, but it was certainly ...

Next morning was our bus to Puno, on lake Titicaca. ... We had brief overnight in Puno before getting picked up the next morning for a two day, one night excursion out on lake Titicaca. ...
