Nov 15, 2009 - Pride of 9 Lion on kill.
Rain, glorious rain!!! Eventually! And the animals are rejoicing. Today is our final day in Satara Camp, so I guess I should wrap up this blog and go into the chalet to pack! Tomorrow we move down to Lower Sabie Camp for 2 nights – then it is on to Pretoriouskop Camp for our final night in the unbelievably gorgeous Kruger National Park. ... I just can’t believe that this time has flown by so fast….Rain, glorious rain!!! Eventually! And the animals are rejoicing. We were up and ready to leave Blue Jay at 6 am as we had a long trip up North through the Kruger Park to travel to our next destination, Olifants Camp. For any of our readers who are planning a safari trip to South Africa we would highly recommend a few day stay with Phil & Margi Nichols at their stunning lodge on the outskirts of Kruger National Park, in the small town of Hazyview. ... Oh to be back in Kruger National Park!!!! PATIENCE PLEASE ...

This was to be a very long but thoroughly enjoyable day. Betty & Jerry were totally awestruck with the beauty and as always it is such a pleasure touring the Americans to our magnificent Cape Town and surrounding areas. ... Back home in the evening we went to the Cattle Baron Steakhouse to celebrate my niece Michelle’s 30th birthday.This was to be a very long but thoroughly enjoyable day. After a leisurely few days in Cape Town with our family playing “catch up”, we took off for Betty’s Bay with my Mom & Dad. ... 90 kms from Durbanville, the suburb of Cape Town where my sister lives. ... Our drive back to Cape Town on the road running alongside the ocean was just gorgeous and even the whales came out to say “bye” to us as we headed back to the city. ...
