Description It's the regional capital of the Western most Thai Provence so it's a much larger city than Pai w/ it's own small airport, but nowhere near the size of Chiang Mai. At dinner in Mae Hong Son at a Chinese restaurant with a set menu of wild boar and other random things. ... My 3 days of trekking got off to a fantastic start when I was ready and waiting in front of the guesthouse, trying to eat my breakfast consisting of some kind of watery garlic and cabbage concoction served in a small plastic bag with no fork or chop-sticks or anything, which I had hastily purchased from a vendor over the road.My 3 days of trekking got off to a fantastic start when I was ready and waiting in front of the guesthouse, trying to eat my breakfast consisting of some kind of watery garlic and cabbage concoction served in a small plastic bag with no fork or chop-sticks or anything, which I had hastily purchased from a vendor over the road....

We stayed at a tropical paradise just outside of town. We went on a couple of day trips while in Mae Hong Song. ... Hey guys Well we finally managed to tear Caveman himself away from the 200 or so caves in Sappong and headed over to Mae Hong Son. ...
