We left Mesa in triple-digit weather and drove across the desert to Cabazon, CA where it was noticeably cooler. ... The thermometer was reading 103 degrees about 3:00 PM before we reached Cabazon. ... We had decided to "boondock" the first night and chose the Morongo casino at Cabazon. ...
