Somehow, May 23, 2008 was lost? Whatever happened to careful journaling? Glimpses of a mind-numbing, reluctant train ride home: Why are all the pine trees dying along the Winterpark/Frasier, CO area-Pine Beetles; Some good train music - Rock Island Line, Boston Metro, Runaway, Folsom Prison Blues; The placid sky covers the somber mountains; The rivers course through natural corkscrew scenery; Scattered debris of civilization rots in the landscape; The passengers mostly ignore the grand western landscape in favor of soft drinks, cell phones, video games or omnipresent laptops.
