Nevada is a long way across on I-80. Of the over 400 miles we travelled 305 miles Sunday from Boomtown West of Reno to Elko. ... We ended the day in Elko at about 4:30 and found a newer RV park named Iron Horse RV Resort. ... It is actually owned by Hilton Garden Inn and if we wanted to walk up the hill we could have used there facilities.Nevada is a long way across on I-80. We were not going to do an update tonight but since we had so much to see in 283 miles we figured why not!! We are in Elko which is the gold capital of the United States-65% of all gold used in the US comes from here. ... Sooo the fun and games get serious.then a final 10 miles with a nice tail wind where we averaged over 20 mph to roll into Elko after 71 miles by 12:30 with the temp in the mid 80's. ...
