As I mentioned in my last post, Mom and I made an overnight trip together to Elko. It was extremely cold for a couple of days but warmed up considerably today. ... We use a 5 gallon tank to BBQ in the summer, and fortunately it was nearly full. ... Thursday 9/24 We have 400 miles to do today so it was up early and on the road at 7:15. You get this little booklet and then stop at 5 specific towns [Fernley, Fallon, Austin, Eureka, and Ely] and get the booklet “stamped” at a business [gas station, restaurant, etc. ... We arrived in Casper 2 hours later than we planned. We hit a small amount of sprinkles about an hour out of Casper but fortunately they were light and short term. ... We got a later start than planned because we had one heck of a time getting our sewer hose fitting out of the sewer pipe. Climbing the long, steep grade, we watched our temperature gauge closely. ... No AC during that pull! We lost one hour as we entered Mountain time zone, and as it was rapidly approaching the dinner hour, we decided to take a short detour and camp at the Jordanelle Reservoir State Park for this evening.We got a later start than planned because we had one heck of a time getting our sewer hose fitting out of the sewer pipe.
